Uganda's Parliament Passes New Infrastructure Bill

The Parliament of Uganda has passed the landmark Infrastructure Development Bill 2026, aimed at modernizing the country's road, rail, and energy networks. The bill, which received cross-party support, allocates $2.5 billion for priority projects over the next five years. Government officials say the investments will boost trade and create thousands of jobs across the region.
