Entebbe, Uganda
Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo delivered a composed performance to win the Pearl of Africa Golf Series at Entebbe Golf Club, finishing the three-round championship at 13-under-par 200.

Representing Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa, Rugumayo entered the final round with a strong lead and held his nerve to card two-under-par 69, following rounds of 67, 64 and 69.

His three-round total of 200 was enough to hold off the chasing pack and secure the title on home soil.

Rugumayo’s victory was built on consistency and attacking golf, recording 29 pars, 16 birdies and two eagles, with seven bogeys and no double bogeys across 54 holes.

His second-round 64 was especially impressive, giving him control heading into the final day.

Nigeria’s Godwin Okoko and Malawi’s Paul Adams tied for second on nine-under-par 204, four shots behind the Ugandan champion.

Okoko, representing IBB International Golf and Country Club, closed with one-under-par 70 after rounds of 66 and 68.

Malawi’s Adams produced a strong final round, firing five-under-par 66 to finish at 204.

His final round featured birdies and eagles as he climbed the leaderboard, but the deficit was too large to overcome.

Behind Rugumayo, Slade Pickering and Matt Millar shared fourth at eight-under-par 205, while Musiwalo Nethunzwi finished sixth at seven-under-par 206.

For Rugumayo, the victory marks a significant moment in the Pearl of Africa Golf Series and highlights Uganda’s leading golfers on the regional stage.

In front of the home crowd at Entebbe Golf Club, Rugumayo combined accuracy, consistency and composure over three rounds.

His opening 67 built a strong foundation, his 64 created separation, and his final-round 69 secured the title.

When the final putt dropped, the numbers told the story: 200 shots, 13 under par, and the Pearl of Africa Golf Series title.

Rugumayo had not simply survived the final-day pressure—he had handled it with the poise of a champion.
