Gomba went into the second leg with a 2-0 advantage from the first encounter. Meddie Kasule was instrumental in that first-leg victory and has continued to make his mark in the tournament, having scored six goals so far.
The Lions’ journey to the final has been powered by the unwavering support of their passionate fans, who have rallied behind the team from the group stages through the knockout rounds.
The victory takes Gomba another step closer to a sixth Masaza Cup crown. The team has previously won the prestigious tournament five times in 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and 2020, making Gomba the record holders for the most Masaza Cup titles.
