Uganda is set to make a major mark on the international golf calendar when the Pearl of Africa Golf Series takes place from September 16 to 19, 2026, at Entebbe Golf Club.
The four-day tournament will be played over 18 holes on the par-71, 6,784-yard Entebbe course, which carries more than 125 years of history and character.
The second edition of the Pearl of Africa Golf Series will mark a historic milestone as Uganda hosts its first official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) tournament.
The event is expected to raise Uganda’s profile among international golfers while showcasing the country as a destination for sports tourism. It also presents an opportunity to promote the wider tourism, hospitality and entertainment sectors.
Uganda Tourism Board is partnering with the tournament as part of efforts to position the country as a leading sports tourism destination.
Beyond the golf course, the event will feature a fan village designed to give visitors a taste of Uganda through culture, cuisine, entertainment and authentic local experiences.
The tournament therefore offers more than four days of competition, bringing together sport and tourism while encouraging golfers, supporters and visitors to explore more of what Uganda has to offer.
